Wiltshire Lib Dems publish cost of living crisis advice leaflet.
Wiltshire Lib Dems have published a leaflet giving advice on practical measures to cope with the cost of living crisis. The leaflet contains information for local services and charities that may be able to help people struggling with bills.
As the cost of living crisis rages, we are all feeling the pressures of the state the Conservative government have put the country in. We know there are global pressures on the cost of living - fuel and energy prices are impacted by the war in Ukraine. However the series of economic own goals we have had inflicted on us (who would have thought that severing ties with our closest international trading bloc would make food and other goods more expensive), and a lack of effective policy or action on domestic energy supply from the Government are a significant cause of domestic pressures.
Many of the solutions to these problems are long term, and require a change in how and who runs the country - we hope for your support in that aim.
In the short term however there are practical measures we can all take in our homes and business to help ourselves. Warm and Safe Wiltshire have specific advice on grants and improvements for buildings at (https://www.warmandsafewiltshire.org.uk (0800 038 5722) if thats an option.
Otherwise, We offer this help sheet in the hope that it provides real, actionable advice and immediate help for people to navigate this genuinely worrying period.
